Clews
Lily and Grace Richardson, aka Clews, were raised on the anthemic ballads of the 90s. Their undeniable song writing prowess and two soaring lead vocals that harmonise like honey have been the backbone of Clews since they burst onto the scene with their 2018 debut, ‘Museum’. They’ve since released a clutch of singles and an EP and are now gearing up to record their debut album in 2023.
For Lily and Grace, leaning into the catharsis of song writing has been a big part of them navigating life, love and relationships. Their universe has revolved around music for as long as they can remember. Clews have carved out a distinct sonic identity of strong, melodic vocals, lush production and the organic sound of a high energy band that echoes elements of the rock artists they love – PJ Harvey, Fontaines D.C, and Warpaint.
Having shared the stage with the likes of DMA’S, Tash Sultana, Hockey Dad and Holy Holy, the duo have built a reputation as a formidable live act in both Australia and the UK.
“Sisterly harmonies, and another ear-worm chorus to add to their growing list of anthems.” – The Guardian
