20-year-old Australian songstress Matilda Pearl invites you into her explosive technicolour sound and style, making music to make you move. There’s no sonic ingredient off limits in Matilda’s kitchen. Her music fliters through a kaleidoscope of disco, funk, rock and pop influences with confident lyrics to make you feel like that girl.
Matilda has been on a high for the last two years, performing across Victoria at festivals such as Land of Plenty and NYE on The Hill as well as supporting the likes of Client Liason. She is set to hit Darwin very soon for Seaside Sounds alongside Safia, Boo Seeka and The Dreggs.
Matilda contiues to prove that she can’t be put into any box. Her last single, in ultimate power mode, is an ode to the Sex and City icon, bridging the gap between alt pop and indie rock.
As Declan Byrne from Triple J put it, “there’s a big talent here that’s waiting to meet the world.”
