Aussie icons The Cat Empire have had an illustrious career, spanning decades, genres, and millions of adoring fans from across the globe.
As two of the original three founding members of the group, Felix Riebl and Ollie McGill will continue their legacy and create a fresh, new era for the band. With boundless creative possibilities, a collaborative process, and musical curiosity, the new project will showcase a wonderful collective of rotating musicians that will still maintain the DNA of The Cat Empire.
For their new record, the band have gone back to where it all started in their hometown of Melbourne. They will explore new styles and approaches while also celebrating the melting pot of international sounds coming from local artists.
On the live circuit, The Cat Empire are excited to introduce a new generation of diverse performers. They will join the recognisable horns section of Ross Irwin and Kieran Conrau, familiar faces of over 18 years to Cat Empire fans. Their new show will celebrate movement, vibrancy, and playfulness – with a host of new material as well as all the favourite songs fans know and love.
